Delightful Dubrovnik mini break

My partner wanted to take me somewhere special for a birthday treat and so we chose to visit Dubrovnik last October.  The destination is ideal for a mini break as there are many lovely sites to visit. During our 3 night stay we walked the City Wall, took a bus trip to a nearby port and a beautiful boat trip to the botanical gardens of Lokrum Island. 

We stayed just outside the City’s wall in a self-catering apartment that had a balcony overlooking the sea. This was a great place to eat pizza and sip the local wine whilst watching the Sun set.

I would recommend a visit during the off peak season as the streets can get very crowded. The climate was warm and we even took a dip in the sea. We enjoyed our visit so much that we have booked a cruise to visit Montenegro, just along the coast, this coming Summer.
