Surviving airports on a budget
Whether you are heading away on your holiday or having to come home after a great time away, the airport can be an uninspiring and expensive place to be, especially if your flight has been delayed.
We have put together some tips for surviving airports on a budget so that you can pass the time spent there without spending too much of your hard-earned spending money.
Window shop
Larger airports tend to be full of high-end brands that many of us couldn’t dream of spending money in, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t browse the shops and have fun trying out the items anyway.
You could also head to gadget shops to experiment with all of the different technology that is on offer, or go to the beauty stores where there is likely to be lots of testers that you can try out before your flight.
People watch
One thing that airports are full of is people, and guessing where they could be heading to based on what they are wearing and how they are spending their time can be a creative way to pass the hours.
Alternatively, strike up a conversation with other travellers. They are bound to have interesting stories about their trip to tell if they are heading home, or can perhaps give you some tips for your holiday if you are waiting to go.
Take a walk
The likelihood is that you are going to be sitting on the plane for a while, so going for a walk around the airport is a great idea as it will help you to stretch your muscles and even burn a few calories before you catch your flight.
This is also a good way to discover all that the airport has on offer, as some are larger and have more entertainment than you may think, and you may even find more things to do that don’t cost anything.
So now that you know how to survive the airport on a budget, why not order some free brochures and start planning your next holiday today.
