Tips for having a Comfortable Flight
No matter if you are flying short or long haul, being on an aeroplane can be an uncomfortable experience if you are not prepared. There are a number of things that you can do to ensure that you have a comfortable flight, and here we share just some of them.
Wear loose fitting clothing
There is nothing wrong with wanting to look nice when you head off on your holiday, but if you are wearing clothing that might rub or dig in during long periods of sitting down you’ll probably find that this will annoy you very quickly.
Opt for layers where possible as the temperature on flights can be a bit temperamental, and even though you may be hot when you get on board you might end up feeling chilly after an hour or so. Slipper socks are a good item to take with you too, as they enable you to take off your shoes to get comfortable without your feet getting cold!
Take snacks
Although you cannot take liquids that measure over 100ml onto your flight with you, you can take snacks to keep you happy during your journey. This means that you won’t need to wait to be offered food, and can save a bit of money too!
Depending on where you are flying to there may be certain food items that you cannot take into the country, but as long as you eat or dispose of them on the plane there won’t be an issue.
Stay hydrated
We suggest buying a large bottle of water in the airport so that you have it to hand as soon as you board your flight. Being on a plane can make you very dehydrated, and ensuring that you drink plenty during the journey will mean that you feel awake and refreshed when you arrive at your holiday destination. Some airlines will offer free refreshments throughout the flight, but you can always buy them if not.
If you follow these tips for having a comfortable flight, you will find that you can start celebrating your holiday as soon as you step on board the plane!
