Things to do in Bangkok
As Thailand’s exciting capital city, there are loads of great things to do in Bangkok, a definite must-visit when exploring this part of the world.
1. Admire Wat Arun
Standing opposite the Grand Place on the bank of the Chao Phraya River you will see Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, which is unlike any other temple that you will see during your time in the city.
This is mainly due to its 70m tall spire which has been beautifully decorated with tiny pieces of Chinese porcelain and coloured glass. We suggest climbing the spire for incredible views, and going to see the temple at night when it is lit up and looks absolutely magical.
2. Visit Khao San Road
The most popular road to head to when looking for great nightlife, Khao San road is often filled with backpackers looking for exciting entertainment, plus it is where you will be able to find a number of cheap accommodation options.
During the night, the road is full of pop-up bars offering intense cocktails, and there are loads of clubs and bars to choose from too. This is definitely the place to head to if you are hoping for a wild and carefree night out in Bangkok.
3. Head to the Sky Bar & Hotel
One of the best ways to see the whole of Bangkok is to head to the Sky Bar & Hotel, an 88-storey building that offers both luxurious accommodation and the chance to enjoy a drink while looking across the city.
At the very top of the building you will find a rotating viewpoint, an absolute must-visit during your time here.
4. Have a Thai massage
After a few days of exploring and partying, there will be nothing better than treating yourself to a famous Thai massage which is guaranteed to get rid of any aches and pains that you may have picked up along the way.
