Things to pack for a ski trip

As ski season approaches there’s nothing more exciting than thinking about hitting the slopes, especially if you’re going to be trying it out for the first time. However, there are a few things that you’ll need to remember in order to have a great time, and here we list a few of them.

Suitable clothing

Not only will you need a ski jacket, ski trousers, ski socks, and a hat, scarf, and gloves, but you’ll also want to remember to take clothing to wear when you’re not out on the slopes. If you’re planning on enjoying the après ski, we suggest packing layers so that you know you’ll be able to dress for the temperature. In addition to this, you’ll need goggles to protect your eyes, and might also benefit from a pair of sunglasses for when goggles aren’t necessary.

Little skiing essentials

There will be little essentials that you’ll want to take with you when you go up the mountain, and it’s far easier to pack these than to try to find them when you reach your destination. These include sun cream, water, and snacks. You’ll need a small bag to pack these into, and this will come in handy for your spare sunglasses or goggles too.

Travel accessories

Other things that you’ll need to pack for your ski trip are similar to what you’d like to take on any holiday. For example, you’ll need a camera or Go Pro for capturing all of those great mountain views, travel adapters so that you can charge your electronics, and swimwear should you want to use a pool, spa, or sauna. Don’t forget to take anything that you might like to entertain you during the journey too, especially if you’ll be travelling by ferry and car. A pack of cards, a couple of books or magazines, and a great playlist will definitely help!
