A Month in Italy: An Unforgettable Adventure

Spending four weeks travelling around Italy with my best mate, Jamie, was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we landed in Venice, it felt like stepping into a dream. We drifted along the canals in a gondola, got lost in charming alleyways, and sipped Aperol Spritz by the Grand Canal as the sun set over the water.

From there, we took the train to Florence, where art and history surrounded us at every turn. Seeing Michelangelo’s David up close was surreal, but if I’m honest, the real highlight was the gelato - never thought ice cream could be life-changing, but Florence proved me wrong. Evenings were spent with glasses of Chianti, watching the city glow from Piazzale Michelangelo.

Rome was everything we’d imagined and more - standing inside the Colosseum, tossing coins into the Trevi Fountain, and wandering through the Vatican left us in awe. But Naples, That was something else. Chaotic, gritty, but utterly alive. And the pizza? I still dream about it.

Heading south, we drove along the Amalfi Coast, its winding roads leading to jaw-dropping views and lazy afternoons on the beach in Positano. Then came Sicily, where we climbed Mount Etna and devoured the best arancini of our lives.

We ended our journey in Milan, a city of style and history. Over espresso and panettone, we reminisced about our adventure, already planning the next trip.

Four weeks wasn’t enough. Italy stole our hearts, and I know we’ll be back. For now, though, it’s ciao.
