Picturesque beaches in Thailand
Thailand is at the top of many people’s travel wish list due to its fascinating culture, amazing food, and its picturesque beaches. Offering tourists the chance to relax and unwind in a slice of paradise, Thailand is perfect for both adventurous types and those looking to chill out in a beautiful setting. Here, we share what we believe to be the most picturesque beaches in Thailand, so you know where to visit when you travel to this wonderful country.
Morakot Cave
To access Morakot Cave, you must swim or kayak through a dark 20m tunnel with the sounds of the waves crashing in your ears. The tunnel opens up as a gap in the rocks of Trang’s Koh Muk, and upon exiting it you will be rewarded with views of white sand and a small, picturesque lagoon. The water is emerald green, and almost mesmerising. You must make sure that you don’t visit during low tide as the lagoon won’t be there.
Ao Manao
Known as Lime Bay to the English, Ao Manao is located close to Prachuap Khiri Khan town, and boasts beautiful scenery and soft, white sand. This beach is less crowded than other options, and the perfect place to head for a bit of peace and tranquillity, plus you’ll find a number of seafood restaurants to enjoy, and some accommodation options too. In contrast to the beauty of the beach, you have to walk through an army base to reach it – great for those with a sense of adventure.
Freedom Beach
Freedom Beach is one of the many picturesque beaches that can be found in Phuket, but is often thought of as being the most stunning. This 300m long stretch of white sand surrounded by a dramatic backdrop of jungle and hills can only be reached by trekking down a steep path or via a long-tail boat. This means that you’ll find that it’s quitter than other options and boasts a chilled out vibe.
