As the capital of England, there are loads of things to do in London no matter what your interests are. Whether you want to try out some of the top attractions, eat and drink your way around amazing bars and restaurants, or simply visit some of the city’s most famous landmarks, you’ll be spoilt for choice when you visit London.
Here, we share just three activities to do in London which we think will inspire you to take a break in this diverse and exciting city.
Ride the London Eye
Standing at 135m tall, a ride on the London Eye offers wonderful views across the city from its pods, and is the UK’s most popular paid tourist attraction. Located on the bank of the River Thames, you can’t miss this eye-catching attraction when you visit the city, and there are a number of VIP packages you can choose from for an extra special trip.
This ride itself takes 30 minutes, and during this time you will be able to spot a number of London’s top sights, including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, which are just across the river, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Picadilly Circus, and Buckingham Palace!
Take a River Cruise
Another great way to see some of London’s landmarks is to take a cruise down the River Thames, and there are plenty of options to choose from depending on how long you are spending in the city and what you want to discover!
Choose a hop on hop off boat tour which allows you to get off of the boat and explore at a number of stops along the route, take a romantic evening cruise which includes dinner and a wonderful atmosphere, or treat yourself to a quintessentially British afternoon tea.
See a show
Head to the glitzy West End and catch a show for an event that you won’t forget. There are loads of different shows on offer throughout the year, and you’ll find that the theatres are located close to lots of bars and restaurants so you can enjoy a meal or beverage before it starts.
