Journey to Rangitoto Island
You'll be able to spot Rangitoto Island as it is home to a dormant volcano which looks very impressive from across the water when you're standing on the mainland.
The island can be reached via ferry which takes around 25 minutes, or by kayak if you are feeling a little more adventurous! Once you reach the island you can climb the mountain on its one hour summit track through lava fields, forests, lava tunnels, and explore caves too!
From the top you'll be rewarded with amazing views of the city across the harbour.
Sky Tower
Auckland’s Sky Tower offers so many entertainment options that you won't know where to start. The base is home to a complex that is home to 2 hotels, 20 bars and restaurants, a 700 seat theatre and a casino, which is sure to keep you busy for a while,
Ascend up the 328 metre tall tower for panoramic views and a chance to eat in the rotating restaurant. Or for the adrenaline junkies, the Sky Walk around a 1.2 metre wide platform, or the Sky Jump from 192 metres up!
Auckland Harbour
Auckland Harbour, also called Waitemata Harbour, can be crossed by the Auckland Harbour Bridge and offers plenty to do both in the daytime and for those venturing out at night.
During the day, you could choose to charter a boat or yacht and check out the coastline, bays, lakes and rivers, or go fishing, diving, or swim with dolphins.in the evening, visit one or more of the bars, restaurants, casinos, and bars, and you'll often find a choice of live music the entertain you too.
