Island Hopping in Greece

When my best friend, Emily, suggested island hopping in Greece, I didn’t hesitate. Two weeks of sun, sea, and adventure sounded perfect. We started in Athens, admiring the Acropolis, before boarding our first ferry to the Cyclades.

Santorini was our first stop, a postcard-perfect dream. We wandered through the whitewashed streets of Oia, sipped cocktails while watching the famous sunset, and soaked in the volcanic hot springs. The next few days were spent on Naxos, where we found quieter beaches and charming mountain villages. The grilled octopus and local cheeses were unforgettable.

Paros offered a balance of relaxation and nightlife. We lazed on Kolymbithres Beach by day and danced under the stars in Naoussa by night. Antiparos, a short ferry ride away, charmed us with its laid-back vibe and stunning caves.

Our journey continued to Mykonos, known for its glamour and parties. We indulged in luxury but also explored its lesser-known side—secluded coves and quaint windmills.

Finally, we ended in Milos, perhaps our favourite. Its surreal, moon-like beaches, such as Sarakiniko, left us in awe. We rented a scooter, zipping between hidden bays and fishing villages like Pollonia.

Two weeks flew by in a blur of cerulean waters, mouthwatering Greek cuisine, and endless laughter. Each island had its own personality, and every ferry brought new surprises.
