Winter Sun: A Family Adventure in Dubai

As the cold grips the UK in January, what better escape than Dubai – the land of year-round sunshine, shimmering skyscrapers, and endless adventures! Our family of five, two parents and three energetic kids set off for a winter holiday we won’t soon forget.

Dubai greeted us with its warmth and stunning skyline. We stayed in a family-friendly hotel on Jumeirah Beach, offering breathtaking views of the Arabian Gulf. Mornings began with a leisurely breakfast by the pool, where the little ones indulged in fresh pastries, while we adults sipped on Arabic coffee.

Day one saw us exploring the iconic Burj Khalifa. The kids’ eyes widened as we shot up to the 148th floor in seconds. The panoramic views of the city and desert were surreal. Next, we visited the Dubai Mall, where the children were mesmerised by the aquarium and squealed with delight at the indoor ice rink.

For a taste of adventure, we set off on a desert safari. The 4x4 dune bashing was thrilling, and the camel rides left the kids giggling. The evening concluded with a traditional Bedouin dinner under the stars, complete with mesmerising belly dancers and a fire show.

The trip wouldn’t have been complete without a fun day at Atlantis Aquaventure. Water slides, lazy rivers, and dolphins – it was a dream come true for our water-loving clan.
